2001 CLK430 (Black)
Smile Luke: Correct tire size?

My car is a 2001 CLK430.

Okay I bought 18" wheels.
The front wheels are 18x8.5, Offset: 35.
The rears are 18x9.5, Offset: 35.

Will 225/40ZR18 for front and 255/35ZR18 for the rear fit my car?
Do I have the correct offset?

Thanks.

Hey luke i was looking into wheels from tirerack and there are some 18x9s on sale. Can i run that setup on both front and back but with 255 in the back and something narrower in the front like 225?235? I have an 03 c240 on stock suspension

Tire Size

Both the MB dealership and the wheels shop I went to recommended that I dont do a staggered set since I have a 2003 C240 4MATIC. I was planning on getting the Mandrus Millenium 18 x 8.5 in the front with a 1" lip and then 18 x 9.5 in the rear with a 3" lip.

Is it true that I should just get the 18 x 8.5 all around? Man those 3" lip in the back looks so good.

Also is 225/40/18 the best fit? Can I go 225/45/18 without hitting my fender or parts of the springs? I just want a smooth, low noise ride while the wheels looks good. Thanks to you all!!! Love this forum. Hopefully this is the right place to post this!

depends on the weather
a 9" wide wheel on the front of a C-Class would require a lot of body work to make it fit

staggered on a 4-matic is a bad idea

Hey Luke ive messaged you a few times already through the forum's emai-you option and i havent gotten a response yet. I figure the emails just arent getting to you so ill try here instead. Im looking to get a set of rims off of tire racks website. Theyre the SSR GT3 rims - i have a c240 2003 NOT 4matic and i wanted to get 18x8.5 front and 18x9s in the back however the special is only for the 18x9s - so i guess i have two options either get 18x9s all around for the special price (but will this cause rubbing issues?) or try to ask for a possible discount on the 18x8.5s. Please if you could get back to me as soon as possible, it would be greatly appreciated as i would like to order these wheels by the end of the week.
email me at alex_portugal7@hotmail.com or this forums pm, thanks
