AMG Aero 2-Piece?

Can anyone give me more info on these wheels? Forged, cast, weight, etc. Anyonw have any pics of these on a car? I have never seen these on anyone's car before and I think they look hot. Where can I get these and how much should I expect a set would run? They are 18x8.5/+44

Thanks,
Gene

Thanks for the info. Since this is discontinued by AMG, what would a good price on a used set? Are these considered rare? (I know I've never seen them.) I may have a possible line on a used set but I don't know what the market value of these are so I wouldn't be sure if the price is good?

OK. Looks like I got a line on these for $500 for a set of 5 used.
Sounds like a decent price. Should I jump on these?

Gene,

Condition is everything. If the wheels are bent or scratched beyond repair, they are virtually worthless. Any pics of the wheels?

What kind of car are you putting these on?

Definitely not the prettiest but look straight with no bends or major structural flaws. Just some standard wear/curbage that can easily be remedied. One of my friends who is heavy into the classic JDM scene and is more than familiar with multi-piece wheels, was going to help me disassemble the wheels to recondition them. I was going to get the centers powdercoated or painted silver or anthracite. (Leaning towards powdercoating since it's more durable and a friend of mine can do it) For the barrels, I would smooth out the curbage and polish them out to a high shine. Not sure if I would clearcoat them at that point but probably not.

OK, I don't know if this is seen as blasphemy on these boards but it is going on a 2000 Volkswagen B5 Passat.
