i have a set of 2007 18" SLK 55 AMG rims i want to put onto my 2002 c230.
What would the be the ideal tires size to maintain overall stock c230 diamtre and minimize rubbing when the car is lowered. I would like to lower to 1-2 finger gap. I've gotten so many different answers from each shop. I just need the IDEAL size.
Thanks.

The Mercedes wheel catalog--available from your dealer--lists 225/40 as the proper size for 18-in wheels.
The "correct" 18-in wheels for W203 are 7.5J, ET37

anyways, if those specs are true, you need the correct offset for those wheels (ET30F, ET35R)
i'd go with a 225/40/18F and a 255/35/18R...anything more and you will be asking for rubbing.
