wife's car2014 ml350
will a 285/40/20.........
fit on a 20x8.5 or is that a bit to wide, i presume a 275-45-20 will fit fine but was just curious

Sorry...a 255 is about the largest width that you can put on a 8.5" rim. For a 275 or 285 Tire you are going to need a 9.5" or 10" wheel width.
