18" staggered set up size question.

Im looking at upgrading my rims to 18" but I need to know what size tires wouold be the best fit and look. I want a staggered set up but not sure how much to go with. I dont want rubbing and I'd rather not get into buying spacers etc. I currently have 17" E430 sport rims from a 2001. I have a 2001 E320. I have already put new springs, shock, bushings, balljoints etc for a better suspension and now its time for the rims. I like wide but not too wide. Also would I need new lugs? Thanks for your help....

DoubleA, go to www.tirerack.com . They recommend these sizes:

235/45/18
265/35/18

Thanks I did go to tire rack but I wanted to be sure of the size. I have seen posts that stated different sizes recommened by tire rack so I just want to be sure.

The springs are not lowering springs. They are OEM springs installed at the dealer. if I have to lower them once the rims are on what can I do? I didnt make the decision on the new rims until after I installed the springs.

You can either just change out the pads to smaller ones or change the springs too for more lowering.
