18x8 offset question

18x8 offset question

hey i have a 97 C230 and i am getting 18x8 rims.....what should be the correct offset???

also i intend to get it the car lowered with H&R sports and i am going to be running 225/40/18 tires....any concerns with rubbing?

i believe the correct offset is 34, something in the low to mid 30s. that is the correct tire size, and assuming the offset is correct, you should have no problems with rubbing...

I have 18x8's in the front of my car with an offset of 31. This offset should be ok for you too. One thing you may want to consider is rolling your fenders, especially if you are lowering your car.

Currently, I am running: 18x8's, 31 offset, 225/40/18 front
18x9's, 35 offset, 255/35/18 rear

Also, my car is lowered with H&R springs with a #1 spring pad up front, and #2 spring pad in the rear. When you look at my car, my front fender is about 2 inches from the top of the rim. The rear is about 1.5 inches from the rim. Looks nice, quite low. Also, my car had the fenders rolled so I am not rubbing (so I think).

hey thanks a lot for the responses guys....i appreciate the info

i am putting 18x8 all around so hopefully i should be ok (fingers crossed)
