Hi, so i have on 19 by 8.5 stern hypermesh wheels up front 9.5 in the rear, all 35 offset and no drop, after putting them on i noticed a scraping sound from the rear, and after changing the rear lugs to smaller ones the problem went away, after driving for a week or two noticed a very similar type noise coming from the drivers side rear , i dont know if its the lugs or what... any help ??? the tires are 265/30/19 goodyear eagle f1 and the car is 02 clk 430
Problem solved, lemmme make this easier for people who are gonna get 19's with my specs, make sure you get smallller lug nuts from the begging so there are absolutley no problems. In my case i swapped them out but not before the stock lug nuts broke the e-brake springand popped it off. I went to the local wheels n deals the guy took off my rear rotor and saw that the ebrake spring was bent out of shape and not on there anymore and bent it back into shape , but the 2nd pair of shorter lugs on and everything seems to be working fine. So definently guys get new rear lugs for your new rims or your gonna have to go through a lot of headache and you might even do some damage to your brake (lol like i did) goood luck to everbody else !!!!
