OK to use OEM wheel as spare tire?

I have aftermarket wheels on my car -- so I am wondering if it is OK to use one of the OEM wheels as a spare tire as opposed to the donut. I've got a +1 configuration, so the rolling diameters are pretty close.

I don't think it would be an issue, but I figured I'd ask the experts.

Thanks in advance for the reply.

Of course the OEM wheel is better as a spare. No one wants to use a space saver spare tire donut at all. If your aftermarket wheels use cone seat lugs make sure you put 5 OEM ball seat lugs in your trunk for the OEM wheel or the donut. You can not mix and match cone or ball seat lugs.

Thanks for the reply! And no worries, I'll be sure not to mix and match lug bolts.
