Luke - Akebono 2001 CLK55

Luke -

It's time for brakes and I was leaning towards the Akebono Euro's for my car. I have the following questions:

1 - What the heck am I suppose to do about the rears? (I only see fitment for the fronts from TireRack) Are the rears not available - or does TireRack just not carry them?

2 - IF the rears are not available - am I causing a problem by having Ceramics on the Front and non-ceramics on the rear?

3 - Do these come w/ the wear sensors - or do I need to order them seperate?

4 - Should I be looking at something else / brand?

Thank you..

depends on the weather
with the front brakes of your car providing approximately 80 - 90 percent of your braking Akebono beleives that their ceramic pads can be used with any OE or OE equivelent rear pad

I'm good w/ this - but one of the selling points of going Ceramic is the reduced brake dust. My rears get dusty too - albeit not as much. I need both front and rear pads - any suggestions for the rears?

Thank you,

Alex

Any other feedback on the Akebono Euro's ? Like from actual installs on MB?

Also - as I asked - do these come w/ the sensors - or do I buy them seperately?

Thanks again..

I did a bit more research and came up with the following from the Akebono site..

Front: EUR682 (same part number as Tirerack)
Rear: EUR608

Now here is the odd part. The Akebono site shows these for a 2002 CLK55 and doesn't even show a fitment for a 2001. I believe all the W208 CLK55's use the same pads. Is this right?

Also - can you help me on the number of wear sensors required? Looks like the REAR Akebono's come w/ the sensors but not sure about the fronts.

Thanks Again..
