Will these fit my 2002 E430?
18x8.5 front ET38
18x9.5 rear ET38
I'm sure the rears will fit, but the fronts will require at least 3mm spacer, correct? Guy is selling the wheels with 12mm spacers...could I use those on the front with no problems?
Also, will a 245/40/18 tire work with those wheel widths? I just purchased new tires so I want to use them.
Thanks!

Well I bought the wheels. They are Lorinser RS5's....the real deal. I got such a great deal on them, if they dont fit, I'll just sell em and make a few bucks.
I test fitted them on the fronts and rears and they clear all suspension. I'm trying to figure out what the actual offset of these wheels are. Cast into the back of them it says ET38, and there is a set of the Lorinser spacers bolted to the back of the wheel flanges. So, does that make them actually a 50mm offset?...a 26mm offset....or is it 38mm offset with the spacers on there?
I'm also trying to figure out what RAD bolts to buy. I know that I need a bolt that is 40mm long, and I need the 12mmx1.5 thread size. They are Ball Seat type (I believe). The bolts that came with the wheels are 14mmx1.5's. So, what is the correct RAD size?
They list different Ball Seat sizes: R12, R13, and R14. What is the correct Ball Seat Size for these wheels?
Do I need a 40mm shank, 12mmx1.5, R14 Ball Seat?
Think these rears will rub once I get tires on them?

I'd like to see a pic of the rear with the bolted on spacer. Note, the rim may clear but not fit when you add a tire - especially a 245 width.
I have an E55 and that front of 18x8.5 et38 would not fit using a 245 tire.

depends on the weather
the 38mm offset should fit ... we even list some 37mm offset wheels that are 8.5" wide on our website. BBS Germany also shows some 8.5" wide application with a 38mm offset. I would avoid any generic type spacer appplications if possible. The 245 & 275 tire sizes would be correct ... this will however be an aggresive application (as you pictures show) but should work with minimal effort on your part

If you look at my 3rd pic above, you can see how much room I have from the wheel to that nut. I think I may have enough room in there for it. With the wheel on there is 3/4" of space between the wheel lip and the spindle, so I think I might make it. My concern is the tire rubbing on the top of the fender. I'll have to put that wheel on again and measure how much tire height is too much to hit that nut......

Thanks Luke!
One thing I'm not sure if it's being taken into the equation is I have the H&R sport springs, so my car sits a little lower than stock.
How about tire heights? A 245 on the front...would this be a 35 series, or a 40 series? I have 40 on there now and was hoping to use them.
I was thinking of a 265 on the rear to give me a little more room on the fenderlip. Not a good idea? And this would be a 35 series as well, no?
Thanks!!!

Look inside the rim holes of both the OEM and Lorinser wheels and use your factory lugs and compare to your factory wheel lug holes. You may have to buy a few sizes/styles to test fit to determine which one fits best.

I have the bolts that are used on the Carlsson wheels I have on there now which are a 12x1.5 ball seat.
I also have a set of the 14x1.5 bolts (that came with the wheels) and the ball seat on these seems bigger.
Putting both of these lugs in the wheels, I cant tell if one fits better than the other. So, is one of these an R14 ball seat and the other is an R12 ball seat (according to the RAD bolt sizes)? If so, which one is the right one????

Update
After more research on the ball seat lug bolts, here's the skinny:
There are 3 different size ball seat bolt heads....R12, R13, R14.
The R stands for Raduis. R12=12mm radius, R13=13mm radius, and R14=14mm radius.
Mercedes use R12, Audi/VW use R13, and Porsche uses R14.
Just purchased 12x1.5, R12, 39mm bolts. Update to follow once the lug bolts arrive. I have the tires and rims and will have them mounted this weekend. Once the bolts arrive, I'll post pics.
