tire pressure

Heya.

Excuse me if I am asking something idiotic, but I am very new to this, so please tread lightly

On my car, I have a sticker suggesting me what the pressure in my tires should be.
Is that the correct numbers, regardless of what tires I put on my car?
I am currently running some winter tires the dealership put on.
They are ...eh... with 16" wheels, so I imagine the "factory size".
If I put new tires on 18" wheels, will I have to make changes to the pressure, or should that still be the same as with the old tires?

Trying to learn this 1 point at a time.

Best regards
Wobert

depends on the weather
air pressure recommendations ar e based on vehicle weigfht not tire size .... if the plus sizing is done correctly in regards to overall diameter and load capacity the OE recoemmennded will work fine ... higher pressure levels will offer slightly more protection from impact

does a higher psi automatically mean a rougher ride? or does higher psi make the suspension compress easier.

my car is running bilstein sports along stock spings with #1 pads.
