Adjusting height with H&R Coilovers

I'll be getting the H&R Coilovers in addition to my 1st set of non-stock wheels. After reading through some threads mentioning the coilover I know that the ride height can be adjusted, but I can't seem to figure out how that adjust is made. Will I pretty much always need the shop to adjust or can I do this myself (w/o raising/jacking the car)?

depends on the weather
you can change the ride height yourself with a couple of spanner wrenches(included with the kit) but, you always need an alignment after a change in ride height

Thx Luke. I'll make sure I get the height I want before it leaves the shop b/c then I'll be taking it to my Mercedes mechanic for the alignment soon thereafter.

I'm hoping these things don't go even lower by settling after a week or so of riding!

I borrow the E
topspin, basically I'd say that if you're not an auto DIYer you're gonna have to take it into the shop if you want to change the ride height.

As an update ... I just got the car back after being lowered with the H&R coilovers and it sits very well. Maybe a 1 inch or 1 finger gap which is what I wanted ... since I didn't/couldn't slam it with these ##### Northeastern streets. The car rides nicely and isn't dramatically worse as a result of my leaving the stock suspension parts behind and I tried to pay attention to all the normal bumps I go over for the 3 weeks prior to getting the coilovers. My 2 cents ...
