Wheels/Tires order for Luke
Hi Luke,
I'm looking to purchase a set of wheels and tires.
What the best deal you can get me on a set of Carlsson 1/5 wheels (18x8F &18x9R) with Kuhmo Ecsta Supra 712 tires (225/40/18F & 255/35/18R)?
I’m purchasing this for a 98 CLK320. If the above setup won’t work for some reason, please let me know the changes needed.
Also, are Carlsson center caps and lug bolts included?

Yes, as Luke told me when I purchased my wheels that Carlsson were no longer supplying the regular painted silver finish any longer. The 1/5 are DE unless stated otherwise.
Take the money you have saved on the wheels and buy S-03's they are well worth the money.

When did you buy your wheels/tires? If you don't mind my asking, how much did you pay for the set?
I've heard good things about the Kumho's but I might take your advice and upgrade to the SO3's anyway.

Bought mine in Aug of this year for just under $2000 including metal valve stems, and wheel locks. Got 18x8 w/235-40 and 18x9 w/265-35.
You definitely have a better deal now as the prices are lower than 6 months ago.
There is nothing wrong with the Kumhos as I know a lot of people who use them and like them. However for the prices that TireRack wants for the S-03's (top of the food chain w/ the Pilot Sports) it was a no-brainer on my part. I don't think that you can find any other tire in this performance range for this price (Michelin, Perrelli, Nitto, Toyo, etc)
