95 E320 Coupe
Staggered 17/7.5-8.5 on 95 E320c ??

Is it a good idea to put 17/7.5s on the front and 17/8.5s on the back of my 95 E320 Coupe?

I love the thick lip on 8.5 AMG Mblock II's, but don't want them to stick out too far and look riced out -- I'm going for a classy look.

Thanks!

2000 CLK430
in my opinion, itll look great, ive always stayed with a staggered setup on my CLK, went from 7.5 and 8.5 to 8 and 9, and now 8 and 9 again in a different rim. I know its a different car, but your car is also a coupe, i dont think you can go wrong honestly, pictures of my car are in a recent thread in the CLK W208 forum if you are interested....

my father has 7.5 and 8.5 on his 91 560SEC and it looks great

just my $.02

BTW, welcome to MBWorld!!! good luck with the new rims, let us know what you decide....

95 E320 Coupe
Thanks Petie, your car looks great!

Unfortunately, on my older W124 coupe, 8.5s may be too wide even in the rear and could rub.

My main question is if 8.5s would fit in the rear of my '95 E320 without rolling the fenders or any other mods.

8.5 will not fit on the w124 without any mods and fender rolling isn't really going to be the answer either....I would stay with 8 max t avoid headaches....8.5 came stock on the 500E / E500 with huge fenders so i would not attempt 8.5 on the coupe

Petie's CLK is a completely new generation of benzes unlike our w124's that have larger wheel diameters and widths factored into the engineering and design of the new cars...remember your car came stock with 6 or 7 inch wheels...
