Need advise on the correction of the offset

I have a CLK w208 with AMG Ultra thin 17x7.5 ET 37 (225/45-17) FRONT and 17x8.5 ET34 (245/40-17). How can I mount the AMG SL 2pc 18x8.5 ET25 (Front) and 18x10 ET25 (Rear). I have not lowered or changed shock on my car yet. Do I need to use the spacer to correct the difference on the offset?? How can mount the wheel to prevent any further problem (robbing or etc) ?? What size and brand of tires should I use?? Would it cause any problem by lowering the car?? Please advise. Thanks in advance.

Re: Need advise on the correction of the offset

Suggested tire sizes:
F: 245/35-18
R: 285/30-18

Brand: whatever you like. Different tires do different things. Research what tires match your needs, and go with those.

Offset: well, you're getting a double-whammy by buying rims that are about an inch wider, and have ~10mm less offset. The two combining together will move the outer edge of your tire/rim OUTWARDS by about 37-38 mm for the fronts, and about 47 mm for the rears. Spacers will only make that worse, so don't bother with spacers.

Given the width of the tires I suggested, you'll probably have to roll your fenders to prevent rubbing, especially if you're going to lower the car further.
