How long does it take new tires to seal

on the rim?

Since they're 30's the Firestone installer said to wait 24 hours until I beat on it. He commented that it would take that long for the lube to dry out and then the possibility of the wheel spinning inside the tire would be lessened.

True or false?

depends on the weather
24 hours will allow the lubrication used when mounting a tire to evaporate ...
