17" and 19" staggered ?

Has anyone done 17" front and 19" rear ?
Is it too much of a stagger ?
Does it affect performance, handling ?
Any pictures ?

I want to do this on my W209 CLK500, is it a good idea?

Thanks,

depends on the weather
bad idea .... different sidewall deflection rates will cause irregular handling

How about 17 and 18 ?
If I get tires of same sidewall heigth, making the rear of the car 1" taller than the front.
Will it work ?

are you serious? you gonna have a list of problems. to start, the difference in RPM for the front and rear tires due to the diffrence in circumference is gonna put your car in 'LIMP' mode, the ESP system is gonna think the car is constantly in a state of no traction. if you look for it, some dude did this exact thing to his SL500 and got the same problems i've listed.

Listen if you want your car to have "rake" then install coilovers and adjust from their.

or get a set of H&R and just install the front springs. although this might not be the best idea for handling, it's sure gonna work better than 18F and 19R
