Help, I like these wheels, but will they fit on an 06 C230???

I'm interested in these 18" wheels listed on ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/18-St...Q5fAccessories

First, is the 8.5 in front and 9.5 in the rear going to work? I usually see 8 and 9 working.

Second, is the 35mm offset large enough in the front? I heard you needed 35. What spacers would I need to make it work?

Third, I was thinking originally of using 225/40/18 and 255/35/18, and those should work with these rims, but how about 235/40/18 and 265/35/185. I know the 235 will rub if I try to make sharp turns, but otherwise are they alright?

I would appreciate anyone's knowledge or experience.

If I'm not mistaken front offset s/b 32 or less. I tried to fit 18x 8.5 rims to my '04 230 and they hit the strut. take care----johnp

Thanks John. Anyone else have any thoughts? Like John said, will 18.5 even work in the front, even if I get some spacers?

8.5 will fit up front and 9.5 will fit in back. +35 front should work, you just have to make sure the wheels clear your brake. Since that wheel has no lip, it looks like it might, but that's not guaranteed, you should ask the seller.

If you are planning on lowering the car with coilovers you'll need to use spacers up front, if not, then you should be fine.

make sure you get the right tire size too, all this stuff has to be taken into consideration if you plan on lowering..

I am running the exact same rim/tire size and offset on my 2005 Kompressor Sedan and they fit perfectly. No rubbing, no hitting strut or shock tower, and no spacers. Tried 19"s with the same tire size, but they did rub in back and the ride was terrible. 35ET gives minimal clearance in front, but they do fit and don't hit anything.
