Michelin Pilot Sport ... fading to brown

Looking for thoughts and input on a pair of Michelin Pilot Sport 245/45/ZR18 tires on my wife's S500. We've had them on the car for several months (at least). Recently, after getting the car back from the dealer, we noticed the rear tires seemed to look dirty-brown, but were actually clean (my son works at the dealership, and washes the cars after service). I used Turtle Wax ICE tire shine to make them look nice, but that fades fairly quickly, and the tires revert back to dirty-brown. FWIW - the front tires have no issues. I don't think it has anything to do with the Turtle Wax, as I have been using that on 6 other cars with no issues. As an aside, we do NOT use automatic car washes.
