W221 AMG wheel on a W220. Will it work?

I'm wondering if an AMG wheel made for a W221

19x8.5 ET 43
19x9.5 ET 43

will fit correctly on a W220? As you know the recommended AMG sizes for the W220 in 19" are:

19x8.5 ET 44
19x9.5 ET 46

though Brabus recommends

19x8.5 ET 40
19x9.5 ET 45

Link to site with with wheel sizes/offsets recommended by Benz, AMG etc...for almost all MB models.

Since I didn't receive any replies I decided to just buy them.

I was able to find a staggered set (including the TPMS sensors) with Michelin Pilots on eBay. Though I don't have any use for the TPMS sensors. If I have to replace the tires I'll removes the sensors & sell them.

It was a no reserve auction & I was the only bidder. From the pics it looked like they're in great shape (no chips, curb rash etc..), though there are a few miinor scuffs. I picked them up for $1,250 + shipping. I guess that isn't too bad for 19" AMGs.

I might have to replace the tires that are on them since the tires are in the staggered S550 size of 255/40R19 front and 275/40R19 back. I think the fronts might be ok, just a bit wider & taller than recommended for a (W220) but the back tires are over 1" taller than recommended. Those might not work. I guess I'll find out soon enough.

Luke, no problem. Nothing wrong with taking a vacation. I researched the wheels thoroughly before I pulled the trigger.

I kind of figured as much about the tires. I could've sworn I saw a thread somewhere saying that a 275/40R19 was too tall for a W220 since the recommended size is a 275/35R19.

I wasn't sure if the 255/40R19 on the front wheels would work or not. But if I have to replace the back tires anyway then I might as well replace the fronts with the required 245/40R19. If I only replaced the rears I end up with front tires with a larger diameter. That would be less than ideal. Though I'll have to replace the Pilots with something considerably cheaper.

Currently the car has two different brands of tires on it. It has Conti in the front & Michelin in the back. Not sure why. That was the way it was when I bought it. So I was planning to replace the tires anyway. I don't like having 2 different brands of tires on a car with different rates of wear (not to mention different handling characteristics). Though new 19s are a bit more than new 225/60R16s would've been.

At least by replacing all 4 Pilots I can get the TPMS sensors out of the AMG wheels and sell them along with the used Pilots (they supposedly have about 65% tread left). In addition, I'll be able to sell the stock MB 7-spoke wheels, so it's not all bad.
