new brake rotors but covered in paint?
it looks like its covered in paint or like a dark silver coating of some sort.
how do i take it out before i do the swap or do i do just leave it on and run it like that? i was thinking of using a paint thinner on it to give rid of the silver thing.
help me out! just preparing for the brake job this weekend.

That is just a coating that keeps the rotor from rusting. There is no need to worry about removing it because it will scrub off when you use the brakes the first time and will not hurt the rotor or brake pads. Just do a few slow speed stops when you first drive the car and it will come right off of the areas that make contact.
