18 x 9.5 safe tire size for w209
i just bought a set of 18" amg V 22spokes 18x8.5 front and 18x9.5 rear for w209
it came with 255 40 18 fronts and 285 35 18 rears, resulting 4.6% speedo error.
compared to stock 245 40 17 rears.
car has stock suspension, it rubs a bit against wheel well in the rear during high speed freeway conditions, no problems on locals.
planning on getting smaller tires all around then a bit lowering afterward, but wondering what is a safe tire size for the rear 18x9.5's. 255 35 18 or 265 35 18?
any inputs would be greatly appreciated!
