Hi, new here. Sorry to bring a lowly van into the site but in the UK they are liked for there 'surfer' appeal, so are popular.
I have got my lowering springs and just attempted to dismantle. I used to be car mechanic many years ago so am able to do stuff like this. But found the vito suspension leg is held together AND to the body by the top nut.
I was expecting legs that disattach from the body via undoing bolts around the main nut, letting you take assembled leg off, put on a spring clamp compressor, remove top nut, uncompress & replace! Simple!
Trying to use clamps whilst legs still on the vehicle I cannot get my spring clamps on the springs as they fowl the body work and will not pull up.![](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/icons/icon8.gif)
Has anybody a method of removal may be on a similar set up?
