w211 rear camber question
i now have about 12,000 miles on my car after installing the eibach springs. my front tire wear is very even and the tire tread is still very thick. the car drives straight and true, so i am not worried about my front suspension setup.
my rear tires are wearing out faster in the inside than the outside. i guess this is expected because of the drop.
within the next few days i will be putting on 20 inch rims and i was wondering if there is something i can do to the rear to get the tire wear a little more even? can the rear camber be adjusted without purchasing all those expensive camber adjusting items?
my logic is this..... i will only be keeping my w211 for 2 to 2.5 years more. it only does 5000 miles a year..... therefore, i don't want to invest $1000 or so in adjustable camber stuff for the rear.
worst case scenario is that i leave the rear camber the way it is and every year i go to the wheel shop and have them flip my rear tires to even out the wear. they might charge me $50 for this and i will only have to do it twice until i give this w211 up and get another mercedes (company car, closed lease). hopefully a w212
what do you guys think? i would appreciate your input as i will be probably be installing my 20s over the weekend ... if they arrive tomorrow as planned.
thanks,
andy
