W208 CLK320 -- wheel and suspension questions

So I pretty much have my heart set on getting some Forgestar F14s, but my CLK came with brand new Contis so I'm just waiting for them to wear down before I buy a brand new set of wheels/tires. So here's my questions:

1.) Should I go 18" or 19"? 19" just seems like it would be a bit too large to look good on the CLK, but I've never bought aftermarket wheels so I'm sure other people would know more about this than I would.

2.) I'll need to lower the car after, of course. I'm not really happy with spending over $1,000 on coilovers since I never track my car and it'd mainly be for aesthetic purposes so I'd be getting springs only. Any recommendations on brands considering wheel size? I hear H&R a lot.

Thanks!

I am in the same situation as I have a 2000 clk430 convertible. I still have plenty of tread on my Michelin Pilot Sport a/s tires and will probably go to an 18 inch rim when they wear. I have been keeping my eye out on deals as I really want 2007 oem e63 18 inch rims.
