Hello guys,
I'm thinking to try Brembo GT BBK for ML63 to ML350.
I would suppose some issues and concerns on it.
Has anyone tried this challenge?
Or if you have any information on this trial, please advise.
Thanks

i think that would be badass
you're only concern should be wheel fitment then, you have to make sure that you'll have enough clearance that your wheels dont hit the calipers
also you might have to modify the dust shield behind the rotors, not sure what they look like on the ML but it might need to pushed back or cut away because the new rotors will be much larger
and one more thing, just a thought from the racing days, make sure that the ML 63's master cylinder is identical to yours, if its not then your master cylinder might not be able to handle the size of the new brakes
good luck with the project buddy, keep this post going i'd like to see how it turns out

Hi racefromaroll,
Thanks great for your kind advice!!!
As for the clearance, I'm considering downsizing of rotors/calipers to other manufacturers', such as Alcon. The radius of inner rim of my wheel, OZ Ultreleggiera HLT 20", is 235mm. It's slightly larger than the size of the kit for S63, which is the same rotor size and the caliper model number with the kit for ML63. (Size information of the kit for ML63 is not yet available.)
I'm not sure that the master cylinder of ML350 is identical to ML63, but I believe so...
Thanks,

Dear members,
Before the next mission, I would need to clarify the master cylinder issue.
I would believe that my ML350's master cylinder is identical to ML63's. So, my understanding is that the displacement would be unnecessary.
However, if not, I have to upgrade into the master cylinder of ML63.
If anyone have information on this issue, which is the size and the part (#) for the appropriate master cylinder, would highly ask your kind advice(s).
thanks a lot.

Hi Hirovette,

There's no part #, but, at least, you can order what you are looking for. Since the prices are same, I would also believe that your ML350's master cylinder is identical to ML63's.
As Racefromaroll mentioned, you may need to think about backing plates behind your rotors. Most people cut off the edges of backing plates when installing larger rotors. Or, you could just order ML63's backing plates of which price would range from $20 to $30 each.
Good luck on your plan!
