Maybe nothing (for a while ). The purpose of the seat is to keep the shank centered in the hole in the wheel and to distribute the pressure over as much surface as possible. A round seat lug would only apply pressure to a small ring of area where the seat and socket meet. In time this may deform that spot and eventually even cause the socket to fail. ![EEK!](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif)
Certainly not as bad as using tapered lugs on a wheel with round seat sockets.

thanks for the response.
The reason why I ask is because the shop that installed my wheels gave me lugs that were too long. I went to another shop to get them shortened but it took 10 minutes to shorten 1 lug! I guess I'll use these rounded lugs for a few more days and then get the lugs replaced to the correct ones.

I had my OEM round shape bolts on my HRE and had some weird clicking sound. Felt like the wheels would fall off if I drive a little faster. I changed them to the proper shape ones and it's been fine since.
