On a 19x8.5(front)/19x9.5(rear) what is widest tire size I can go for SL600?

On a 19x8.5(front)/19x9.5(rear) what is widest tire size I can go for SL600?
Hey guys, I am selling the 20s on my car and going with 19s - where I drive the 20s are just too nice, and I don't want to mess them up or have any issues.

I am looking at 19s (8.5 front and 9.5 rear)

I am wondering what are the widest tires I can fit without going crazy for better traction..


Tirerack has it listed as these for a 19" setup:
255/35-19 front & 285/30-19 rear


Can I go any wider? I have an 04 SL600 so it has bigger brakes like the 55 amg.
