Hi guys,

First I would like to thank you for all the informations that I found on this website, you guys created a very nice community.

I bought a set of AMG 18" wheel (for E55) that I put on my E320 2003, but the thing is that the gap between the tire and the car is now to big and feel like driving a tractor.

This my setup

Front: 18/8 wheel with 245/40/18
Rear: 18/9 wheel with 265/35/18

What should I do?

Lower my car with lower spring or may the shocks can be adjustable?
I am ok to lower my car but the minimum lowering spring that I found is 1.5 inch but I don`t really want to go for more then 1 inch max.

Can you guys help me

Maybe you need a higher profile tire. The overall diameter theoretically should be pretty nearly the same as stock, so I can't see why you say the fender gap is bigger unless you now have a much smaller diameter tire.

As to lowering, Eibach has springs that lower 30mm for the C Class, you could check them out.
