Perhaps I'll let Luke to add some comments if he wants to, but I hope I can try to answer some of your questions.

18x8.5 and 18x9.5 is the right size of wheels to use on a W209.

Lugs and PCD is the bolt pattern. Find more info in here:

And for offset, this is what you should read:

Lastly, I believed CB is Centerbore:

Browse through all the links to find out all the information about wheels.

The most recommended tire sizes to use on a W209 is 225/40/18 front and 255/35/18 rear. However, it is possible to put 235/40/18 and 265/35/18 with SELECTED tires.

IMHO, I think a W209 will look best on a set of Carlsson or Brabus wheels. LM-5....ummm....I am not sure. The design of LM-5 is kind of old, it has been around for quite a while.

If you have anymore questions, feel free to ask! Hope this helps.

Re:

Dear Harris,

Thank you for your post, the info was very helpful.

I absolutely agree with you on Brabus wheels. The Monoblock VI 2pcs 19" looks just amazing on W209.
However, I've never seen it with 18" - which would be my personal preference.

Also, I wouldn't like to get the replica, not the originals. Any place on the Internet has the replica for sale,
I would never pay so much for anything not original. Maybe you could suggest any place in NY area,
that is Brabus certified.

Is this necessary to replace the springs, or I can go with stock springs and Brabus wheels?

Thanks again.

Well, Brabus has one standard pricing for all its dealers across North America, I wouldnt suggest you to buy from somebody else other than me because I am a Brabus dealer. However, if you happen to find a local authorized dealer who can give you discounts, I would suggest you to go & buy with them.

You can definitely go stock with Brabus wheels, however, you might find the gap between the tires and the fender a bit too big if you dont lower it. Do a search on the W209 forum, my client, "atl2nyc", has just put a set of 18" Carlsson 1/16 on his CLK320. And I believed there is another guy who has 18" Monoblock VI on his CLK320 as well.

My recommendation is: if you were to upgrade the wheels, mind as well change the springs also. You will be glad that you did it.

lvit,

I have a set of LM-5 replicas with Bridgestone SO-3 that I bought from Luke. They are 18 x 8.5. I put about 2k on them. They are in excellent condition. Right now they are in my office in NJ, but I live on LI, so I can get them to you easily.

Let me know if you are interested.
