Is that OK to put 265/35/18 on 18*10" wheels? Luke or anyone else?

I know that the correct size is 275/35/18 on 10" wheels, but Luke told me that I'd have to roll the rear fender on my 1999 E430 if I put 275 on it. So... Is it Ok to put 265 on 10" wheels? I really don't want to roll my fender and I am not planning to lower the car.
the offset is 32mm
Please advise. Thank you

I would say it really depends on which tire you are using. Different tires have different designs. Some tires such as PZero Rosso or S-03 has a more "squared" corner while some tires such as T1-S or S9000 has a more "rounded" corner that you might get away with it.
It is possible to put 265 tires on a 18x10 wheel (see the W209 thread, "Pic of my 320").

Thanks for your info Harris. So.... 255/35/18 would be better for my 18x10 wheels huh???? I checked on tirerack.com that 255 will fit up to 18x10 wheels... so I'll probably downgrade to 255/35/18 instead of 265/35/18.
Is this a good idea Luke since the fender of a 1999 E430 is not as wide as the E55?
