a tire's load rating
so i understand the higher the load rating, the more weight the tire can bear.
all things being equal, what does the difference in load rating between two tires mean in regards to pothole/impact resistance? say the pirelli pzero 205-45-17 size and pirelli eufori 205-45-17 size. the pzero has a load rating of 88, 1234 lbs...while the eufori has a load rating of 84, 1102 lbs. assuming the tire wall size, tire width size, tire pressure, and tire temp, etc. are all the same....does the load rating have any indication to impact resistance?

depends on the weather
the higher load rated tire has better internal construction so it would perform better when considering impact resistance but, there is a caveat that you must take into consideration .... the load capacity you listed was a max capacity which is acheived at 35 psi for a p-metric tire and 36 psi for a eurometric tire .... and the 2 tires you mentioned 1 of them (the Eufori) is a runflat tire designed for the Mini Cooper S) and the other tire is an XL or extra load tire so, you are comparing an apple to an orange
