Bought this car recently and know nothing about it. Rear end bounces n flops. MB dealer says 1800 Euros to fix.. Local guy says about 60 Euros plus labor for each of two "shock absorbers" but none exist any more for this model and they must take my old shocks and rebuild them; my regular mechanic for all my cars says he doesn't have the equipment to do the job and only one MB desler in area even has the equipment to do the job.. also there is question about whether self-leveling shocks came with the car, if so do we need them for the casual use this car will get? Such wildly differing stories, whom do I believe? william

self-leveling shock is standard for all TE model, new MB shocks will be very expensive , you may try to find used on from ebay.
