ABS brake pulse after changing to a/s tires?

I finally changed my winter tires to new all-seasons (Hercules MRIV 205-55-16) a few days ago at highly recommended Simply Tire in Toronto.

I get no vibration even at highway speeds indicating they are balanced properly. However, sometimes when I brake I feel what I think is ABS pulsing.

Can this be me not used to the increased stopping distances required with a less 'sticky' tire, and/or the need to break in a new tire?

They put them at 32 psi and I increased them to 36 psi with no change.

Also, I've had the Check Engine light indicator for a while which I feel is unrelated

I changed from Goodyear summer tires, that were much stickier than winter tires, to Continental all season tires and my ABS hasn't done anything out of the ordinary.

Are your tires the same size as before?
Are your brakes wearing?

good luck.

Yes, the tires are the same size. I've driven them some more and the problem seems to be gone

depends on the weather
it could very easily be that those tires have less stopping ability ... the ABS system is seeing a lockup so it's activating as designed
