Luke and other Experts: AMG Mono II on 02 C320

Hi,
I just installed 4 of AMG Monoblock II 18x8 ET31 with 225/40/18 on 02 C320 sedan and have some questions to Luke or other wheel experts.. (BTW they look sharp to me )

1. Am I facing to rub or any other problem with this setting? and should I use spacer to have right offset? (I know people uses 35 offset)

2. What is the widest tires I can have for rear? Can I fit 255/35/18 on my rims(18x8)??

3. I will lower my car with coilover next week... any possible problem cased by offset?

Any input will be greatly appreciated!
Thank you.

Puttin a spacer on the front of the car will just cuase them to stick out more then they already do. It will make the offset lower.

Where did u get the wheels from?

Those are low offset for an S class or SL. U should have a 38 or 35.

When its slammed there is a slight chance the front might rub, but the rear should be perfect. I had 19 by 9's with 25 offst in front and 35 rear because the front wheel hit the strut.

And it stuck out of the fender, ugly, and if u were to lower the car it would hit.

not sure how it will be in your case, but that is a nice set of rims!!
I know a wheel guy who sells alot of benz whls in NJ, he is cool I got 2 sets of wheels from him in the past.

Thank you for yor input.
These rims are off from my previous W202.. and it was recommended by local performace shop (they ordered it from Tirerack)
I am going to lower it with coilover 2 fingure gap in front and none in rear.
Does front will rub or wheels will hit the inside?
Does anyone has same setup or similar with me who can give me some feedback? Luke, can you give me some advice?
Thank you.

The AMG 18X8 Monoblock is et31 and fits W203 with tire 225/40/18.

The 18X8 et31 wheel is not a S-Class wheel.

TireRack sugguest you use 18X9 et35 with 255/35/18 rear.

Check with the tire manufactor to see if a 255 will fit, I doubt it.

What tire are you considering in 255?

Thank you for your reply.
I don't have any specific tires in my mind yet but since I am thinking to get new wheels (staggerd setup)during this summer that I wanted to get tires first if the ones I have worns down before I get new setup. (other wise I will be sticking with 225/40 on 18x8)
However, MonoII looks better on W203 than I thought, but it would look even better with lowering.
I will be lowering my car in a couple of weeks with coilover and I hope the wheels (tires) does not rub or touch the suspension...
One of members in here confirmed me that the setup will be OK, but I am still worrying...
Anyone with same or similar experience??
Thank you
