Two completely different tires. One is a summer only tire while the other is an all season. Both are excellent tires in their respective category. You need to decide what you are looking for, summer or all season.

+1. If your just looking for pure performance, I would go with the Hankook. It's a great tire for spirited driving on dry roads and clear weather.

The Conti DWS isn't as performance oriented in dry weather as the hankook, but offers good traction on all weather conditions. I have them on my C63 and they've been good in the rain and while not as good as the V12's on dry roads, they are still a good tire. They also have a good ride.

depends on the weather
since they are completely different tires it's tough to compare .... if you are going to seen any snow or temps below 40 degrees for extended periods the Hankook is not the tire to have.

If temps will never drop below 45 degrees the Hankook would be a better choice

Brought a set of Hankook V12 and couldn't be happier, quiet tire. Very good summer daily tire.

I have summer tires on my SLK350, and have been advised to drive them year-round. I understand that they will not have good traction in the snow, but what about driving with them when it just cold? Many days below 32 degrees. What will be the results if I leave the tires (which have many miles remaining on them) on and continue to drive them into the winter?

Who ever told you that is not doing you any favors. Summer tire rubber harden like a rock in cold temperatures. So while you can still drive them in the winter you risk putting yourself in additional danger in cold temps. Not only will you not grip as well off the line and in turns, but your stopping distance will also increase.

Thank you for your information. It sounds very reasonable, and I will visit a tire store before the weather gets too cold. Thanks again.
