HELP Lorinser wheel question

I have a 98 SL500 that I just bought. It has the lorinser wheels in the photo. How do I remove the center cap to get to the lug nuts? I tried loosening the allen heads but thet just turn free, I don't want to pry too hard on the center cap.

Lorinser made a special plastic tool specifically for removing the center cap. It has a flat handle with a cicurlar top. On the circular top are molded pieces that fit into the noches on the wheel cap. You can find them through eBay or other such sales portholes. They usually go for $12 to $15. I have purchase one through this method.
Good luck!
