to the hoop!
Question Is there a problem with these brakes?

The pic is from a C55 AMG.

I'm just concerned about the 3-4mm rusted area on the outer edges of the rotors. The whole rotor surface should come into contact right? Hence, that rust ring should not be there?

Is this a major red flag when looking for a used C55?

What could be wrong here? Wrong pads used? Here are the part nos. used when the front pads were replaced a few weeks ago:

FP NUMBER DESCRIPTION UNIT PRICE
005-420-95-20 TS DISK BRAKE $76.00
211-540-17-17 BRAKE WEAR S $ 9.25
000-990-48-07 SCREW $ 9.56

depends on the weather
it's normal as the pads do not cover edge to edge on any cars ...

CLS63
you're fine, like Luke said...brake pads never cover 100% of the rotor face.
