touchless tire mount?
I just picked up a set of new wheels for my w216 and want to install my stock wheel sensors on my new wheels.
In the past, everytime I take it to a tire shop and watch them pry my tires off the wheels, I cringe. I always discover seems new scuff marks on my wheels everytime new tires are put on. I just learned to accept this as part of the deal.
There's got to be a better way to do this? Can anyone shed some light on this? I have heard of some sort of touchless tire mounting machine? Is this true? Also, if anyone knows of a good tire shop in the San Diego area that can take care of my wheels while mounting new tires, please let me know.

Sounds like your tire shop just does a poor job on mounting your tires. I would search around or see if someone chimes in since I only know of SoCal tire shops and I have never dealt with scratches or scuffs on my wheels.

If your really concerned you should buy some masking tape and put it around the edge of the rim.. only a few mm curved around so you can remove it easily once the tyre is mounted for balancing.
I have a few friends that do this and their wheels dont get any damage.
