What EXACTLY Triggers the red ABC warning?

What EXACTLY Triggers the red ABC warning?
I am looking for someone to tell me what EXACTLY triggers this warning light? I presume there is a pressure sensor downline from the pump that has to see XXX pressure for this to turn on????
