depends on the weather
multi piece wheels cost more to produce than a typical 1-piece wheel that is why the are more expensive. Typically 1-piece wheels are lighter than multi-piece wheels ....

and since the 2-piece version is 8.5" wide and the 1-piece is only 8.0" wide the 1 piece is definitely lighter

thanks dude. i thought the multi piece style IVs came in 7.5 and 8.5 (same as stock), as it says on the AMG fit guide for 18"s on W203

The Style IV has so many applications/offsets for various MB models. 7.5, 8.5, 8.0, 9.0 and 10.0.

If we compare a 8.5" wide 2-pc vs a same 8.5" wide 1-pc wheel, which is lighter now?

in most cases the 1-piece wheel would be lighter

Hi Luke

Could you perhaps please highlight the advantages of a multi-piece wheel?

It seems to me there are more discouraging factors like expensive, heavier (and uglier?) etc.

Thanks.
