first benz owner needs ur help
well i finally got my FIRST benz...its a 2003 E320 (got it this month)...i love it! i previously had a clunky ol' mitsubishi...wow BIG difference from that car!!
the first thing i want to do is to put some rims on them. thats were i'm hoping you can help me out. i don't have much clue on high-end rims for luxury cars... just that i really like the six spoke designs, 3-piece with lots of lips. i'm thinking 19" would be nice...i just don't know how wide i can go in the front and rear...any suggestions? also somebody told me i should know what "offset" to get....well i have no clue on "offset" maybe you guys could recommend the right offset as well. much appreciated from a newbie benz owner!!!!!
if any of you guys have pix of your car with rims..i would love to see it~!

Offset is the distance from the centerline of the rim to the lug mounting surface. If you have a 8 inch wide rim, the centerline would be 4 inches from either wheel lip inner/outer. Offset would be the +/- distance from that line. Basically, offset will determine of your wheels stick out badly, or not enough. Goto tirerack.com if need more details.
In regards to your new car, your owner's manual will tell you what are the current offsets of your wheels. When shopping for new wheels, it would be best to stay as close to stock offsets. Of course, if you want really wide wheels you can play with the offests to make it fit your needs. Go to a local shop and see what they offer and ask about recommendations.
Good luck.

19"s on a W211 will be very nice, but I guess you should be prepared to sacrifice a bit on the ride. 19" will be pretty rough vs. yr stock setup. If you like 6 spokes, then you may consider Brabus Monoblock VI or HRE 841R, or AMG Style IV (5 spokes)??? But the bottom line is.....how much are you willing to spend!!
