putting rim with M14 holes on MB (M12)?

Question:

Considering a set of rims for my w203,
but it was originally fitted for an Audi with M14 x 1.5 lug bolts.

Is this a safety issue as the lug bolt will have less area to hold onto
the rim?

thanks

Yes it is a safety issue. The wheel would move around and possibly cause a lug stud to snap. It is not a cheap fix, Also if you do not get to long of a lug stud on the rear, it will catch the emergency brake system and break. That means all new braking set on whatever side catches the E-brake. Hope that helps man.

I work for a MB dealership as a wheel and tire guy for them. Honestly, find something that will take the 12mm diameter lug stud.
