Difference between aftermarket pilot sports and oem mercedes

i noticed that the oem tires have an "MO" after the sizing on the tire wall. how much different are they from after market pilot sports? i think the tread is a little different, but besides that?

depends on the weather
the internal construction is differetn and specific to the requirements of the MB engineers ... what the exact differences are only those engineers and the Michelin engineers really know and they're not telling ... I have had many people use the "non- MO" marked pilots with great success

I really hated the OEM tires. I wore through them quicky, had difficulty with traction, just didn't like them.

Maybe I should try the non oem tires. ???

Re: Difference between aftermarket pilot sports and oem mercedes

I don't know about Mercedes spec tires, but I do know that Porsche spec tires are different. Atleast for Porsche, usually the tread width or sectional width of a standard S02 isn't as wide as a Porsche spec tire. Usually this is for better grip and performance than the standard S02s. I figure a Mercedes spec tire would account for several other things, such a road noise, ride comfort, etc.

Correct me if I'm wrong Luke.
