Should be getting my Bridgestone Blizzaks this week. In Ottawa the goal is good performance in snow. If I was back in Toronto I would have gone for a more performance oriented tire, perhaps an Alpin.
What did you wind up buying?

Crap Bridgestone ripoff, ya think?
Hankooks are the most popular alternative in the EU to continentals and the like. My wife is from Toronto.
Many of us use them in their summer V12 series and their winter Icebear or other configurations suitable to the car and location.
Although Bizzaks are great tires, like Alpins and Scorpions, Hankooks rule.

I've got some Hankook w310s on my car this winter in Ottawa and so far they seem to work well. Had a little snow and they were fine. I used Blizzak LM25's when I lived in Toronto and the top layer seemed to wear quickly. once that happened they lost a fair bit of traction in snow.
