C55 Rims/Wheels/Calipers/Snow Tires
I have 2005 C55 and have located a set of rims that came from a 2004 E320 and whose measurements are 8J x 17 H2 Et 38 and it looks like MB Part # A211 40136 024.
I am trying to determine if I can use them on my car for winter snows that I would plan on 225/45 18 (that came off my R32). Those tires are mounted on ASA J 3 rims that have a 45 offset and I am told I cannot use them on the C55.
Any help to determine if I can use these rims on my C55 with those tires would be greatly appreciated because MB is not particularly helpful and I cannot afford to buy a set of rims that I cannot use.
I can try to mount the rims to see if they fit, but wanted to make sure there would be no issues with the tire I mentioned being installed and I cannot do that before I buy the rims.
Thanks again, and Happy Holidays to all!

depends on the weather
unfortunately I do not have access to the technical drawings of that wheel so, I can not either confirm or deny brake caliper clearance
andf both the C55 and R32 should be running a 225/40-18 winter tire size
