Want new tires on E550, need you opinion?
Maybe I didn't word my question right so I'll try again.
I'm looking at Michelin Pilot Sport All Season Plus/ Bridgestone Potenza All Season RE970 Pole and Pirelli P Zero All Season tires.
Which tire would give me the best wear, handling, comfort and all around performance from any experience you might have had with these tires? It would help me alot if you could also indicate to me the reason for your answer. This would help me alot.
I feel you can't beat the opinions from owners who have actually had experience with the product.

I have the RE970 on my CL55, and I've been very happy with them. I had the RE960 for several years (970 replaced the 960), and they were both pretty similar, so this review is a summary of my experiences with both of them.
They're both quieter and give a more comfortable ride than the factory RE050 they replaced. I didn't notice any difference in handling, but I don't push my CL hard through the corners so I doubt I would. Dry traction when hot is a little less than the RE050 (probably not as noticeable on the 550 as on the 55), but cold dry traction and wet traction are excellent (the RE050 sucked when temperatures dropped below 40°F). They're pretty good in light snow, and drivable in heavy snow.

I would also reccomend Bridgestone tires. I have the RE760 Sport tires on my E500 and love them. They have an almost silent ride compared to other tires I have used, like the Micheln PS2, Hankook V12 Evos and Pirelli pzeros. They are really solid in the rain and have amazing performance in the dry. They are the best tire I have ever used. plus they are much cheaper than the Micheln's and the Pirelli's.
