Recommendation to all, check tire pressure
After 2 days I saw that tire again and at another gas station tried to pump it up, but valve cap was still too hard to remove (duhh, silly me :o ), by this time I realized my gas milage had decreased quite a bit (I usually get 75-80 miles per quarter in the city) to about 45 miles per quarter!
When I made it home I grabbed some pliers and removed that valve cap, to find that the left tire had 20 lbs! and the right 45! Leveled them to 35 lbs each, and now my gas milage has gone back to normal.
The point of the story is, make sure you always have good tire pressure on all 4 tires, you'll acomplish sveral thing: save money on gas, save your tires, and be safe.
If your valve cap is so tight that you cant open it easily, is it possible that your tire is leaking air somewhere?
But thanks for the reminder. People always forget to check tire pressure, including me!
They were supposed to remove dings/scratches from the lips, they machined the lips, but they also machined the whole face of the wheel, even removing the Carlsson engraving on them (check complete story on "Discount tire messed up my wheels"), and on top of that they only put 20 lbs on one tire!!!
