TWS Lowering Brackets
I emailed TWS about their lowering brackets and this was the reply:
"We built two different lowering brackets for all Mercedes with Airmatic suspensions (ABC included). One lowers the S/CL/SL a minimal 1.25-1.5 inches in the front. This same kit lowers the W211 only .75-1.0 inch. The second arm lowers the S/CL/SL roughly 2-2.75+ inches in the front. This same kit lowers the W211 from 1.5-2.5 inches in the front.
Both lowering brackets have up to .75 inch of adjustability so with additional washers added to these brackets, the brackets are allowed a greater height adjustability."
The purpose of these brackets are to trick the sensors into thinking the car is riding too high and in response it will lower the car.
I emailed back regarding the price and will post when they reply.

I just today lowered just the front end of my E500. It took all of 15 minutes and eight small washers. Don't even need to take off the front tires, just jack up the front end a bit, and you can reach in and remove the one 10mm nut on top. Once off I put 4 small washers on the bottom side and then replaced. I figure that there is about a 4 to 1 ratio in regard to the "height" of the washers you insert and the drop in the car. For example I put about .25 inches of washers and the front end dropped about 1 inch. I know this won't work on the rear of the E, but I think it looks better. The gap between the top of the wheel and the bottom of the wheel well was much greater in the front, and now they are about equal, with the front maybe .25 inches less now than the rear.
Here are before and after pic from about the same angle. Not a huge difference, but gets rid of the big front end gap, and looks more aggresive. What do you think?
Before lowered front end...
After lowered front end...

Why won't it work on the rear? I believe there are brackets like in the front somewhere near the rear axle but the wheels have to come off to reach them I think.

yeah i would be interested in the price of that kit. is there something that can lower the rear also slightly maybe just 1/2 inch. anyone come up with anything reliable besides a full on $2000 kit? i would be looking for a very subtle drop. epower your car looks good. btw is the ride any rougher with the car lower? i lowered the frt of my c32 and it has 18" wheels and its fairly stiff and rough on certain roads.

Someone else asked about the price of the "kit". There is no kit for what I did. I just used the existing, OEM bracket and added 4 thin washers to each side. It was about .25 inch of washers and it dropped the front just less than an inch. So the price of the "kit" is about $1.00 in washers, and 30 minutes of your time.
Here is a pretty fuzzy picture of the 4 washers installed on the bracket...

The brackets cost $150. Here's the reply from TWS when I asked him which kit would lower the W211 1.25 inches:
"The kit is $150 including shipping and I would send over the longer of the two. I actually don't have any currently in stock but if you are interested, I can put you on the wait list. It's about 2 weeks out currently."

Figured out how to lower the rear end today. Similar in concept to the front, you basically reset the position of the sensor. Only one sensor on the rear though. Here are some pics and more details I posted on the W211 page...

Awesome post!~! Just found out through some other posts and I would like to thank you guys for sharing this info. Once I get my rims, I'm hopin I won't need to drop it at all with the airmatic suspension, but if I do then I know what to do...thx

I would have to agree with BenziBoi! I do not have a W211, but I am glad to see that other MBZ owners share this type of information! MBworld.org is one of the best forums, no matter what auto make.
