Lorinsers vs. HRE's

How do Lorinsers, specifially the LM5, compare to HRE's, spefically the 542R's? Does anyone know the differences in weight? Can anyone offer their personal opinions between these two wheels?

They both look "Sweeet" I am sure that one or more of our local experts will answer your question. I saw set on a car here and they were nice, the HRE's

IMO, there is no comparison between the two. LM5s are very heavy. HREs are forged. Obviously, HRE are much lighter and with better quality. I think Lorinser wheels are kind of old-fashioned (or conservative). HREs are more "hip"!

I helped my cousin poped a set of LM5's on his ML. Damn those things were killers, in terms of weight that is. The broader than usual five spokes are more at home for larger vehicles, say ML or upper Mercedes classes.
